Students Pick up Math Expertise

"Sixteen eighth-grade students from the Ottoson Middle School in Arlington, Mass. are working on how to solve mathematical problems ranging from paper folding; the DiVinci code; and hitting a video game target; to figuring out how many combinations there are with a single lock. Boston University Professor Emma Previato is mentoring the students as they measure, calculate and design math projects for their school-wide Math Fair which will be held on May 4, 2005."
